Is the Rise of Family Offices Reshaping Private Equity?
BackIgor Doumenc, a partner at Yards, was interviewed by Décideurs Magazine for his article titled “Is the Rise of Family Offices Reshaping Private Equity?” regarding the growing influence of family offices in private equity transactions, particularly in comparison to investment funds.
Igor put forward several arguments in favor of family offices:
“Family offices reinvest their inheritance; they have a reputation that legitimizes them and lends them credibility. Companies recognize one another; they share the same vision and the same language. They understand each other very well, since the investor is familiar with the day-to-day life of the CEO, which makes them potentially more supportive. ”
