Yards advises Weinberg Capital Partners on its investment in the Eco Valorisation Group

The law firm Yards has advised Weinberg Capital Partners on its equity investment in the Eco Valorisation group.

Founded by Laurent Laye, who now co-manages the company with his three children (Valentin, Antoine and Lucille), Eco Valorisation is a player committed to the environmental challenges of the construction industry, with a total of 85 employees and a turnover of more than €22 million by 2021. The group offers its customers alternatives for responsible and sustainable construction through three activities, Eco Valorisation (reception and recovery of materials from deconstruction), Eco Béton (manufacture and sale of conventional, low carbon and green concrete) and Eco Blocs (manufacture and sale of modular concrete blocks).

Thanks to this LBO, Weinberg Capital Partners, through its vehicle WCP Impact Dev, which has become the new minority shareholder, will support the group in a new phase of development, including a second site in Gennevilliers requiring an investment of €18 million. 14 million of this amount is provided by Weinberg Capital Partners and a banking pool (Banque Populaire, Crédit Agricole and Bpifrance), with the balance financed by grants.

Yards was involved in the audits, the drafting and negotiation of the contracts relating to the investment by Weinberg Capital Partners and the setting up of the bank financing with the banking pool.

The Yards team was composed of Igor Doumenc, partner, Julien Brouwer, counsel, and Julia Faure, associate, on the M&A aspects, Maud Gendron, counsel, on the financing aspects, Dorothée Traverse, partner, and Jeanne-Ève Lepinay, associate, on the tax aspects and Christine Hillig-Poudevigne, partner, and Sara Ouarti, associate, on the social aspects.
