Yards advises BMS Group on the acquisitions of Aprométal and Arone Métal Production
BackYards advised the BMS group on the acquisitions of Aprométal and Arone Métal Production.
Yards has advised the BMS group, taken over in 2017 by Peninsular Capital and Jean de Saint-Julien, in the context of the completion of two new external growth operations concerning the acquisition of the companies Aprométal and Arone Métal Production, specialised in boiler making and welded structures for underground works, special foundations and maritime works. They will now operate under the name of BMS Métal.
This operation allows the BMS group to continue its development in a context of strong growth in its activity. The group now has a pro forma turnover of around €17 million, which is double what it achieved when it was taken over by Peninsular Capital. It employs around 50 people across 4 sites throughout France.
The operation was financed by the BMS group’s own resources and by bank debt provided by the Caisse d’Épargne Rhône-Alpes (CERA) and CIC.
The Yards team consisted of Igor Doumenc, Eric du Peloux and Alexandre Malek, on the M&A and financing aspects, and Christine Hillig-Poudevigne and Marion Peringuey on the social aspects.
