Yards advises BlaBlaCar in its $15 million fundraising with the International Finance Corporation (IFC - World Bank Group)

The law firm Yards advised BlaBlaCar on its $15 million fundraising in the form of bonds convertible into shares subscribed by the IFC (International Finance Corporation).

This fundraising operation will allow BlaBlaCar to continue the development of its long distance travel offer (carpooling and bus) in Brazil, one of its main markets abroad with more than twelve million users, and more generally in its other emerging markets.

The Yards team consisted of partners Jean-Philippe Jacob and Eric du Peloux and associate Kamélia Kerchi.

Herbert Smith Freehills, with partner Christopher Theris and associate François Paulze d’Ivoy, acted as counsel to IFC.
