Yards advised Weinberg Capital Partners on its acquisition of a minority stake in Orion Energies

The law firm Yards advised Weinberg Capital Partners via its WCP Impact Dev #1 fund on its acquisition of a minority stake in Orion Energies, a major French player in the photovoltaic energy sector.

Founded in 2005, Weinberg Capital Partners is an independent investment company that has historically been active in buyout capital. In 2020, the WCP Impact Dev #1 fund was awarded the “Relance” label, which recognises funds that are committed to mobilising new resources to support the equity capital of French companies (SMEs/ETIs), whether listed or unlisted.

Orion Energies is a major French player in the photovoltaic energy sector, specialising in the development, installation and operation of large-scale photovoltaic solar power plants in France and abroad.

Through this transaction, Weinberg Capital Partners aims to support Orion Energies in its development and in the definition of its impact strategy in order to meet climate and social challenges.

This round of financing will enable Orion Energies to step up its development, which is based on four fundamental commitments: proximity to the regions, integrity at the heart of our actions, collective energy and day-to-day agility.
